Acupuncture for Fertility

A couple is considered infertile if the woman does not conceive a child after one year of unprotected, well-timed intercourse or she has been unable to carry a pregnancy to a live birth. The diagnosis is sped up for women over 35–treatment is normally recommended after six months of trying to conceive.

Fertility

What’s the cause of infertility ?

The reasons for infertility can involve one or both partners. In general:

  • In about one-third of cases, the cause of infertility involves only the male.
  • In about one-third of cases, the cause of infertility involves only the female.
  • In the remaining cases, the cause of infertility involves both the male and female, or no cause can be identified (unexplained infertility).

For the bio-medical causes of infertility, Chinese medicine works well in conjunction with western medicine and for patient choose a drug-free alternative. such as:

  • Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS)
  • premature ovarian Failure (PoF) or high FSH
  • Low ovaries reserve (low AMH)
  • defect of Luteal Phase
  • Amenorrhea
  • Endometriosis
  • Thyroid disorders
  • Frequent miscarriages
  • Stress-related hormone imbalance
  • Male sperm issues or disorders

For those couple who had not been diagnosed with any bio-medical issues, it is highly recommended to try Chinese Medicine protocol. We will use the Chinese Medicine diagnostic method  and focus on regulating your natural menstrual cycle, re-balancing the health of your internal organs and improve the readiness of conceive.

Traditional Chinese Medicine provides a unique holistic view of infertility. Disharmony/ imbalance of the reproductive system and its related organ is the fundamental reason of infertility for both women and men. In our clinic we aim to restore the balance which manifests in the following factors:

  • healthy and regular menstrual cycle.

How we help

In our clinic, the practitioner will set up a monthly and quarterly treatment plan for the couple. The plan involves Chinese herbal medicine, acupuncture time and the diet and lifestyle advice.

For the initial consultation, I encourage both of the couple to attend to discuss your plan and make sure we communicate the  treatment plan well.

Our clinic’s fertility treatment protocol starts with helping your body to have a healthy and natural period (and we aim to do this as quickly as possible). For women, this is the surest sign that your body will be ready not only to conceive but also to support a healthy pregnancy.

Feel free to call 9332 9925 to discuss your concern if you are not sure whether Chinese Medicine or acupuncture can help your condition.
